DART+ 2nd consultation and webinars

Irish Rail have opened the 2nd public consultation about the DART+ West project. Submissions can be made until 5pm on Wednesday 8th 29th September 2021.

The preferred option for Coolmine level crossing is the closure of the level crossing and construction of a pedestrian/cyclist bridge over the train line.

There are photos online for the pedestrian/cyclist bridges at Coolmine station, Porterstown level crossing and Clonsilla station. In each case there are long ramps, for wheelchair access, and steps for a shorter route.

Inside Coolmine station the current pedestrian bridge will be replace with a new one that includes lifts.

The DART+ website has extensive documents and photos about the preferred option.

As the bridge between Riverwood Court and Stationcourt is no longer being proposed, instead Irish Rail has produced drawings of upgrades of numerous junctions in the area.
