The Fingal PPN (Public Participation Network) January 2021 newsletter was released earlier this week. Each newsletter highlights PPN News, lists active public consultations, funding opportunities and community news.
From the PPN is the PPN Handbook. The Handbook gives guidance, support and, where necessary, clarity, for everyone involved with, or interested in, the PPNs.
The monthly report from Fingal County Council’s Chief Executive, AnnMarie Farrelly, is available.
Amongst the list of achievements by FCC is mention that they are looking into setting up a junior parkrun in Millennium Park. Junior parkruns are 2km events on Sunday mornings (parkruns are 5k events on Saturday mornings, with local ones in Porterstown Park and Hartstown Park).
It also mentions the Bike Racks for Schools initiative where schools have been invited to apply for bike racks by completing the online application form and submitting it to Road.Safety@Fingal.ie.
The report says that the planned Snugborough Interchange Upgrade was
tendered in August last year and a preferred bidder has been identified. Construction is expected to commence in Spring 2021 and with an overall construction duration of two years.
