Fingal County Council are offering a free sustainable community gardening course to local residents with the kind support of Castleknock Community College.
This course has been featured on RTE’s Nationwide several times.
The course offers participants the chance to learn:
- How to live more sustainably,
- Plant and manage their gardens for wildlife,
- Propagate their own plants (saving money) and
- Meet like-minded people.
Time will be split between walks and talks, classroom discussions and practical sessions. Sessions will focus on improving community areas for biodiversity, alternatives to spraying, planting for bees, the benefits of trees, wildflower gardens, urban food production, hedgerows and much more
The course will be run over 5 weeks in Castleknock Community College and you must be available for all 5 classes to sign up.
The course will be held on each of the 5 Saturdays in February between 10am and 12pm:
- Saturday 1st February 10–12
- Saturday 8th February 10-12
- Saturday 15th February 10-12
- Saturday 22nd February 10-12
- Saturday 29th February 10-12
