Last weekend one of the committee spent a bit of time digging out the 3 foot tall nettles that had grown amongst the plants in the Riverwood Glebe planting area. It had been a year since the last big weeding. Their stems were really thick and extensive. Other weeds, including the weed grass on the Riverwood Chase site of the planting area, were removed. Altogether the removed weeds took up a significant part of a brown bin!
Some of the weeds on the road edging were also removed. We encourage people to remove the road weeds from the front of their property each time they cut their grass. Many hands make light work – and nice results.
