We recently received reports of rats in Riverwood Heath, Drive, Chase and Copse, we contacted Fingal County Council to ask for advice. A number of other concerned residents did the same. We really appreciate their support.
This morning (Friday 25 July), the HSE Pest Control Section came out and treated the drains throughout the estate and set rat poison traps in 3 locations on the open space area in Riverwood Chase. The 3 locations are clearly marked with a sign and a white arrow painted on the ground, pointing at the partially hidden trap. All 3 locations are all between the tennis courts and the main road.
Please warn children to stay away from the poison.
If you have any questions you can ring the HSE Pest Control Service at (01) 860-5860.
Please also ensure that you do not leave any food scraps out in your garden. This will attract the rats.
