Today transition year students from LCC demonstrated and explained their structure on the open space area at Riverwood Copse/Chase.
The students built a 3D map of the Riverwood/Woodbrook/Fernleigh/Annfield area and used threads to show the routes that students took to get to the new LCC building. These routes highlighted the obstructions (mainly railings) that make the routes longer than necessary.
2nd year students provided some suggestions of structures that allow young people to get over railings. As the students were limited to demonstrating one structure, the structure on show was a combination of multiple ideas.
The LCC principal, Fionnuala Ní Chaisil, was very proud of her students, especially as they confidently explained the project to the Fingal County Council’s County Manager, David O’Connor.
