A few weeks ago a few residents in Riverwood Glebe contacted us to report that the small grass area between Riverwood Glebe and Riverwood Chase was being broken up by vehicles driving across it. It was also reported to Fingal County Council via the FixYourStreet.ie web site. The report included a nice simple solution – plant some trees!

Tall wooden poles were quickly erected and then mysteriously disappeared. After numerous phone calls to various Fingal County Council departments we determined that FCC erected the poles and removed them after complaints.

We met FCC Transportation at the location and discussed the plans for low herbaceous plants on one side of the footpath between Chase and Glebe and a tree on the other side. These a due to be planted by early March.

In the meantime, FCC have erected a number of small wooden bollards to prevent cars driving across the grass.
