Last week (Friday 22 February), after extensive lobbying from the committee, Fingal County Council painted double yellow lines on the ring road, close to the junction with Luttrell Park Drive. This eliminated a traffic pinch point where 4 cars were permitted to park on one side of the road.
Traffic now moves more freely along that stretch with no more worries about losing your wing mirror. As the stretch only accommodated 4 cars (though sometimes 1 or 2 extra cars would park on the pre-existing double yellow lines), there is no noticeable negative impact to parking on the opposite of the road.
On a related note, we are continuing with our ongoing discussions with Fingal County Council for additional road markings on the ring road and within the Riverwood estate.
