This is a club started by those attending the Adult Coaching Programmes. The group meet regularly both in the Riverwood and Sycamore courts. Read more about the Carpenterstown Tennis Club and its activities on its own page.
The two tennis courts in Riverwood are open to all.
The courts are maintained by Fingal County Council Parks Department. They can be contacted at 890-5000 or parks@fingalcoco.ie.
Tennis is the only game permitted on the courts. Football is not permitted.
Please do not litter the courts - take your empty bottles with you. There is a bin beside the pedestrian traffic lights at the gate opposite Woodbrook.
The tennis courts are not locked - you can play at any time you like, though there are no floodlights.
The courts are reserved at the following times:
The courts are host to adult and junior coaching.
Adult coaching starts on Saturday 13 March 2010. The 8 week session of 1 hour each costs €20. New people are welcome at any session. The classes are held between 1:15pm and 2:15pm.
There is an informal get together on Tuesdays at 7pm. This is held at the tennis courts at nearby Sycamore Avenue. This is to allow people to come along and play if they wish. You do not need a playing partner. It's very much fun and practice... no serious games here.. well not yet!
The current junior coaching started on Saturday 30 January, with hourly classes each Saturday between 10am and 1pm. The coaching finishes on Saturday 20 March.
Registration for the 8 week session was on Saturday 30 January, though you can register at a later date.
