Please read the brown bin guide. Fingal County Council report that 30% of bins are useless because they include unsuitable plastic bags.
We will be hosting our AGM on Thursday 22nd April at 8pm in St, Patrick's National School.
All residents are invited to attend and highlight what they want from the Residents Association and the issues that concern them.
The committee will be distributing our Spring Newsletter this weekend. You can view it here.
At the March monthly meeting the committee members discussed the local postal service. Incorrectly delivered items was common to all in attendance e.g. getting letters for the wrong house or even the wrong road!
In order to respond to this we need to hear from you if you have had any strange experiences with the postal service. Please tell us when it happend and what was the error.
Fingal County Council is on twitter. You can follow them or view that web page to get up-to-date information on the water supply distruptions. The information is sumarised on Aertel page 624.
They have a specific list on twitter for Emergency Weather Updates, which includes water supply updates.
Late last year we surveyed residents about their experiences with Gardaí and for their opinions on the issues in the area. Thank you to all that responded.
In December we discussed these results with the Community Policy Sergeant and will be distributing to local representative.
A summary of the results is online.
Last year we reported about nuisance alarms in Woodbrook and provided contact information for the management company. Unfortunately we have our own nuisance alarms in Riverwood but the solution is not so simple.
If you are away for an extended period please nominate a keyholder to attend to a ringing alarm (and any other emergencies). The keyholder does not have to be a neighbour; in this case, please give your neighbour(s) a contact number for the keyholder.
If you get multiple false alarms it likely indicates that your alarm needs to be serviced. Getting work done by a NSAI certified company may qualify you for a discount on your home insurance (often around 10% - 15% discount).
As always residents should lock all windows and doors, even when you are only out of your house for a short period. Windows left partially open often trigger false alarms on windy days.
